Yosemite National Park in California

Yosemite National Park is a national park which is situated in eastern central California, United States. The park covers an area of 761,266 acres and also covers the slope of Nevada mountain chain. More that 3.5 million people visit the park every year. The park is known internationally for its natural beauty like the great cliffs, waterfalls, streams and flora to fauna diversity. More then ninety-five percent of the park has wild life in it. Though this was not the first national park of the United States, it was the first one to put the idea in the development of other parks.

The natioanl park is about a six hours journey from Los Angeles and Southern California. The Yosemite National Park provides a lot of facilities and accommodation of hotels in the valley. One can make a selection of the same based on the budget that he or she has. The best time to visit the park is during the hot summers. However, one must do the lodge booking well in advance.

The park is one of the largest habitat centers in the entire Nevada and the park has a lot of flora and fauna. There is an elevation range of 600 to 4,000 meters and has almost five kinds of vegetation zones, which are oak woodland, lower and upper montane, subalpine and alpine. More than 20% of the plantation can be found within the national park .The park also has huge rocks that are more than 10 million years old.
